Emergency Messages

emer_message.jpg - 9004 Bytes
Any emergency message will interrupt any display with an audible alert (a loud chirp or siren) that will continue for 3 minutes. Pressing any key will silence the alarm.
The printed alert will remain on the display screen for 3 minutes or until it has been read. Press cpad.jpg - 1205 Bytes once you have read the emergency message. If you do not read the message before the 3 minute time out, the following message will be displayed.
unread.jpg - 9563 Bytes
The unread message light will continue to blink. To read the emergency message now, you must press the apad.jpg - 1163 Bytes key as if you were reading a personal message. Once all messages are read the light will stop blinking.

The emergency alert can not be disabled. When the alarm sounds the alarm is turned off by pressing any key on the key pad.
