Scrolling Ads

The screen will automatically display 10 commercial scrolling ads of up to 80 characters for 15 seconds each. The main screen containing the time and date display for 15 seconds between each ad. The display alternates the main screen and advertising messages.

Community Messages

community.jpg - 8687 Bytes
There is a group of messages called community messages available to the owner of the Community Messenger. These messages relay information of interest to the community, such as the weather report, obituaries, or city council meetings. Each message is read by pressing key 0pad.jpg - 1226 Bytes , 1pad.jpg - 1131 Bytes , 2pad.jpg - 1161 Bytes , thru 9pad.jpg - 1231 Bytes . Each key represents up to 21 message screens. Use the bpad.jpg - 1186 Bytes key to go down the list and the apad.jpg - 1163 Bytes to go back up the list. These will display for one minute. Example: Pressing 1pad.jpg - 1131 Bytes may show today's forecast and pressing bpad.jpg - 1186 Bytesto scroll down may show tomorrow's forecast and again to show the extended forecast. Sometimes a sponsor of the weather forecast or other community message will appear between the message screens.
